YMCA Manchester is celebrating a successful fundraising partnership with Airborne Environmental Consultants Ltd (AEC) that has seen almost £10,000 raised to support young people across Manchester and Salford.
The YMCA Manchester Youth and Community team which supports young people in the area with a holistic support service, first joined forces with AEC in 2015, and over the course of 18 months the corporate partnership led to a number of brilliant fundraising activities and events.
Highlights of the partnership included 5 AEC employees tackling the inaugural YMCA Tour de Y cycle challenge which took place over 4 days and involved a 360 mile trek from the Lake district to London, AEC cyclist James Arkwright described the event as “a hugely rewarding and gratifying experience!”
YMCA Manchester Youth and Community Manager, Sarah Axford, states: “Our partnership with AEC has been nothing short of a huge success.
“We have loved every minute of working with them, so thank you to everyone involved. The money raised will all be spent on developing our Inspiring Futures project to make a real difference to the lives of young carers across Manchester and Salford.”
Partnership Development Manager John Boardman adds “we hope the success of our AEC Corporate partnership highlights to other local business’ the mutual benefits and unique and rewarding experiences on offer by choosing to work alongside YMCA Manchester.
AEC is just the start and we will be circulating our new Corporate Partnership pack in the New Year.”
